Realizations of the Day

Health is something you take for granted until you lose it.

Anatomy class is best taken after a strenuous workout, so that you can feel EACH AND EVERY muscle you are learning.
Just because you used to be in shape doesn't mean you're not a lard-butt now. : )

When I go running inevitably I want to quit.I do two things 1) pray or mentally sing hymns - no way I could be singing out loud! 2) Try to be thankful that I have the capability to make those muscles ache (and try to focus on the non aching muscles).

I think my original goal was to be able to run 2 miles (to the park, let daughter play, and then back). From there, I decided to add .5 km (you really should measure progress in km, you accomplish so much more, and quicker, than miles)each week. Sometimes I actually did 1/2 km new each week, sometimes it was every other week. It was pretty unscientific, but I had hubby holding me to my words, for better or for worse!
Now I have a dog that goes a little nutty (as you read) when she doesn't go running often, so that is pretty good motivation. Nothing like a dog trying to mate with your slipper to get you moving! :)
