For Christmas, Kyler got one of THESE. It's a Nintendo DS Lite. It's a fun handheld gaming console regardless of the game played, but when you add the New Super Mario Brothers to the mix, well. . .Kevin says they make them out of crack. He should know--he's logged more hours than anyone in our house.
I finally got a turn earlier this week. Now I can't wait until I can sneak it away from one of the guys. If I could only get up around 2 am, I am thinking I could have hours for Mario and skeleton turtles and walking mushrooms and. . .

You make me feel bad. One of my sons really wanted this for Christmas and I said no. Maybe I need to reconsider.
My daughter has this game... maybe I should try it... but with blogging already keeping me from showering and housework -- then again, maybe I better not! =)
its is expensive? sounds like the perfect car ride game!
You have just put into words why I don't want one in my house :)
Still never tried it. Hope my kids don't want something like that for a long, long time or it'll totally break the bank!
Oh, I fear getting any sort of gaming system. The computer is far too much of an addiction as it is.
True confession. We have THREE DSs in our household. Yeah. Two adults and three children 4 and under and THREE of them. Though why we have three of them is kind of a long story. They are addictive and come with TONS of games that are good for the brain (that's my excuse for wanting one). And Mario. Girls just wanna have fun, right? :)
