who forgot to switch the clothes to the dryer?!

Please, tell me this does not only happen to me: You wash a load of clothes, and then. . .nothing. You forget to switch it to the dryer. Ugh! The clothes stink and running it through the washer again does not take away the smell.

(Again, let's pretend this doesn't happen to just me, ok?!)

Next time, when you rewash the clothes add a 1/2 cup or so ammonia or Mr. Clean (generic is ok) to the wash. It will take the smell away, and your clothes will smell fresh again. It works for me! To find other useful hints, check out Rocks in my Dryer HERE.

Summertime is when I have that problem. I wash before work and when I get home 5 hours later okay so it maybe 7 hours or so before I remember they are there they smell. But hanging them on the line helps that.

That's a great tip. I never knew that!

I've had good luck with smellywasher.com product. Only the smell part of mildew, not the black spots that are there if it is left too long.

oh, yesssss, happens to me a lot. it doesn't bother me as much as it bothers my husband since he has such a keen sense of smell. I'll have to try this. Thank you! Amy

This is a huge problem for me! Thanks for the tip. Do you have a toploader or a frontloader?

I've done it and I don't think it is just the Short Term Memory problems since my Stroke. I forget what I even walk into a room for! And at 55 now I just have regular "brain farts" or "CRS". Just wait until you are older, it gets better, LOL. At least I do remember to do the laundry!
